When beginning a new skin care regime one often has questions. In this section you will find some of the more frequent questions we get asked. If your question is not listed, don’t hesitate to call our corporate office. We are open Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm (CT).

What is my skin type?
To keep it simple we have established 4 skin type classifications: oily, sensitive, normal and dry.

Oily skin types often find that the skin is shiny within hours of cleansing the face, regardless of the climate or environment.

Sensitive skin types often have reactions to different skin treatments or products. Irritation is a common occurrence for those with sensitive skin.

Normal skin types do not fall into any extreme categories. Usually this skin type is partially dry or oily, better known as combination skin; this can fluctuate with climate changes.

Dry skin types are often flaky and need to be moisturized several times a day regardless of the climate or environment.

Will your products only work if I have bad skin?
Absolutely not! Rx Systems PF is designed to promote healthy skin for all skin types. Even the most porcelain of complexions will benefit from our system. Daily use of our products will improve the skin and give it a healthy glow and smooth texture.

How do I get started?
Most importantly, remember less is more. Our products are formulated with quality ingredients and designed to give you the results you desire one small application at a time. The Starter Kit is a great way to begin. It comes complete with all the essential products and an instruction card to simplify your skin care treatment.

How soon will I see results?
Subtle changes in how the skin feels and looks will be noticed immediately. More prominent results will begin to appear within the first six weeks of consistent use.

How do I know when my skin is ready to step-up?
The rate at which skin will acclimate to glycolic acid is different for every individual, ranging from 3 months to 3 years. If the tingling sensation no longer occurs when applying our Facial Cream or Lotion to the skin, it's usually a good indication that it's time to step-up to the next level.

How does my routine change when I step-up?
To avoid causing irritation on the skin it is best to alternate levels with every application. For example, if you're currently applying Facial Cream with Glycolic 5 to the skin and are ready to move up to level 10, apply Facial Cream with Glycolic 5 on Monday, Facial Cream with Glycolic 10 on Tuesday, Facial Cream with Glycolic 5 on Wednesday and so on for about 2 weeks. At the end of two weeks you may stop alternating applications and use level 10 consistently.

I have aging skin. Should I still use glycolic acid?
Definitely. Both glycolic acid and retinol will help to give aging skin a more youthful appearance. Remember that retinol products should only be applied at night, so when you are using both retinol and glycolic acid you have two options. The first is to apply Facial Cream or Lotion to the skin in the morning and Retinol Cream or Lotion at night. Or you can apply Retinol Cream or Lotion to the skin at night after the application of Facial Cream or Lotion.

I really like the retinol products I’m using now. Do I have to change?
No. Our product line is pH balance to provide your skin with the best results. However, the quality ingredients in all of our products will work to prepare you skin to achieve the maximum benefits from any additional products you use from other lines.
